Great Summer Job! Riverbank Marina has a position coming available for one Seasonal Dock Hand Supervisor. The position begins in April and at the end of September/beginning of October. Prospective Dock Hand Supervisor must be available: Thursday – Sunday between 3:00 p.m. – 2 a.m., ALL Holidays (5/5, Memorial Day, July 4th, the 3rd weekend of August & Labor Day), and be able to commit to working the entire season. Riverbank Marina is located on Garden Hwy by I-5, (Chevys/Crawdad’s on the River). Riverbank Marina includes 200 boat slips, 3 restaurants, 15 offices and the parking lots. Riverbank Marina Dock Hand Supervisor should have the following experience: 1. Security or military experience is a plus! 2. Managing employees 3. Customer Service/Customer Relations 4. Able to communicate effectively and provide written reports 5. Able to work outside in the sun 6. Be physically fit, able to walk up and down stairs and carry heavy loads 7. Able to assign tasks, prioritize and see that tasks are completed 8. Able to swim and have own transportation 9. Patrol the property to discourage vandalism and theft 10. Work Thursday – Sunday evenings/nights and all holidays Pay: $19.00/hour, DOE, with possible increase based on performance This position will oversee the Marina Dock Hands. An overview of the Marina Dock Hand duties and additional Marina Dock Hand Supervisor duties is as follows: 1. Make sure boaters who are NOT regular tenants are not docking in tenant’s slips 2. Make sure the security gates are not being propped open & alcohol is not brought into the public areas 3. Empty trash cans from the docks & property, pick up trash on docks & property to keep the place clean 4. Assist tenants in docking and carrying coolers, etc. to and from their boats 5. Assist in guest docking and dinner docking 6. Make sure the Accommodation Dock doesn’t get overcrowded 7. Patrol the property to discourage vandalism and theft 8.
