WALLINGFORD, CT — The town's popular Celebrate Wallingford event has been canceled for the second year in a row, according to the Meriden Record-Journal. The annual festival, which is held the first weekend of October, traditionally draws thousands of people to downtown Wallingford. The Record-Journal reports organizers also decided this week to postpone Wallingford's 350th Jubilee celebration to June 2022. The event, which marks the 350th anniversary of Wallingford's founding, was originally slated to be held last June. It was postponed twice last year due to the coronavirus pandemic and had been scheduled to take place June 19, until this week's decision. Read more at the Meriden Record-Journal here.
