Become a Wildland Firefighter for North Pacific Forestry We are currently looking for brave men and women to join our Southern Oregon Firefighting Team. Returning experienced firefighters who would like to join our team RT- 130 pack test and refresher will be available during this time as well. ( If you are interested in taking the class please call the number below) To join our team as a new firefighter you must 1. Be present at all 4 days of the class April 22nd - 25th at 8:00 am ( at no cost to you ) 2. Pass a physical test which consists of doing a pack test. Meaning Walking 3 miles carrying a 45 pound vest and must complete the walk in under 45 minutes. 3. Be available at all times during fire season, to be dispatched. 4. Be ready to travel and work for up to 14 to 21 days at a time. depending on the fire assignment. 5. Be able to pass a drug screening. Hiring is based on completion of the training and physical exam. Work will be on call during fire season which will be from June through October. Compensation: Hourly wage health and welfare bonus and a lot of overtime. Please contact me to be added to the class.
