Press release from the Pajaro Valley Unified School District: March 5, 2021 The Pajaro Valley Unified School District introduces Diane Bury as Academic Coordinator for Mintie White and Gary Webb as Director of Maintenance and Operations (M&O). The Board of Trustees approved these appointments at the February 24 meeting. Mintie White staff and community welcome Diane Bury who has been serving students since 2005 as both a middle school and elementary teacher. Mrs. Bury has also served as a summer school head teacher and an after school coordinator. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Westmont University and her teaching credential from San Jose State. She obtained her administrative credential from the Santa Clara County Office of Education, Leaders in Educational Administration Program. Mrs. Bury and her 15 years of experience in elementary, middle school and coordinator/head teacher roles are an asset to her position. We are proud to welcome this highly accomplished educator to her new administrative role. Gary Webb will lead the Department of Maintenance & Operations as Director. Mr. Webb has over 30 years of experience in facilities with a strong background and skills in HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), refrigeration, boilers, generators, and computerized maintenance management systems. He focuses on effective customer service and has a natural ability to build relationships earning the respect of his crew and customers. Mr. Webb worked for the County of San Mateo for over 30 years before coming to PVUSD as Lead Maintenance Specialist, HVAC in October 2020. Mr. Webb also served as a Machinist Mate, Petty officer 2nd class aboard the USS Midway, a forward deployed naval aircraft carrier in the South Pacific from 1984 to 1988. He was assigned to the engineering department and operated the number three engine room of the main propulsion plant. The aircraft carrier is now a historical museum in San Diego and the number three main engine is now one of the main attractions on the guided tour. He looks forward to serving the District and continuing the good work of improving District facilities.
