HOBOKEN, NJ — With the Johnson and Johnson vaccine more available, CVS Pharmacies around the state opened up new appointments on Friday morning, and provided a list of sites that will get the shots soon. Hoboken was on a new list of 163 towns with CVS stores that will be getting shots — but was not listed on the list of places with availability Friday morning.
However, Friday morning after 6 a.m., six CVS stores in New Jersey did have new appointments available, the closest one to Hoboken being Howell in Central Jersey. Click here now to see what's available at CVS.
No information was available yet about when Hoboken might get it, or which of the city's three CVS stores will have it.
"Johnson & Johnson's Janssen COVID-19 vaccine has been authorized for emergency use by the FDA," noted CVS on its appointment page. "Appointments now available in select locations. Check availability in your area below."
Patch will be posting an updated list of Hudson County vaccine locations later today, and will continue to watch for availability at the Hoboken store. Sign up for Patch breaking news alerts or daily newsletters.
The city of Hoboken also has some locations for seniors and others currently eligible, listed in the beginning of the story linked here.
