Scripps Health announced Thursday the Del Mar Vaccination Super Station will be closed on Saturday due to a shortage of Pfizer vaccine.
Scripps said a "low number of COVID-19 vaccine doses" were delivered this week.
The vaccination station will reopen the following day on Sunday, March 7.
Patients who had appointments on Saturday — which were all for second doses — are being automatically rescheduled for Sunday through the MyTurn online appointment system.
San Diego County has capacity to administer 33,000 shots daily, but shortages of both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines have forced intermittent shutdowns of vaccination sites.
