Hello there, My name is Carter James. A young but experienced singer-songwriter, emcee, and performer looking for a solid collaboration with an experienced producer. I am looking for someone who knows how to make fun, funky beats and is willing to try new things. My influences are a mix of new and old school. They are, but not limited to: Public Enemy, RUN-DMC, Beastie Boys, Kurtis Blow, Big Daddy Kane, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Vanilla Ice, Sir-Mix-A-Lot, Kool Moe, Dee, LL Cool J, G-Eazy, Bruno Mars, Red Hot Chili Peppers, 311, Lil Nas X, Lil Wayne etc. Attached is my old stuff from 8 years ago. Sadly, I have not recorded anything serious since then. However, I AM SERIOUS about starting something new and exciting and my rapping has smoothed out since then.
