College of DuPage Students Win Eight Illinois Broadcast Association Silver Dome Awards Students from the College of DuPage Animation and Motion Picture/Television programs and Courier TV, the student-run, on-campus television broadcast, took top spots at the 2020 Illinois Broadcast Association Student Silver Dome Awards. The Silver Dome Student Awards recognize the best student work in broadcasting for radio and TV, including categories in news, entertainment and promotional programming. For Best TV Newscast, first place went to "Courier TV News – March 12, 2020" produced by Kevin Ashley, George Brew, Aakilah Cameron, Joshua Cheatham, Miranda Gonzalez, Anthony Guerrero, James Konetski, Danny Olivares, Sy Razi and Anna Sieg. Second place in the same category went to "Inside COD – February 2020" produced by George Brew, Alfredo Galvez, Anthony Guerrero, Destiny Osie-Palmer, Ryan Radtke, Sy Razi, Sam St. John, Vi Tym, Sara Vacek and Naomi VeVers. For Best TV Spot, first place went to "Saber Dual/Just One More" produced by Crystal Adochio, Diego Beltan, Vircell Dayap, Lauren McGladdery, Luke Mosz, Danny Olivares, Manuel Rodriquez and Grayson Zweibruck. For Best TV Sports Package, second place went to "Natalie Payne - Athlete of the Week" produced by Aakilah Cameron, Danny Olivares and James Konetski. In the Best TV Longform Entertainment Programming category, first place and second place went to "As the Sun Goes Down" and "Miku and the Hunt" by Animation program students Sarah Mitrache and Grace Ruggiero, respectively. For Best TV Photojournalism, first place went to "Life Under Quarantine" by MPTV program student Sara Vacek. For Best TV Longform Journalism Programming, second place went to "Coronavirus: A Documentary" by MPTV program students Anna Sieg and Nick Vieceli.
