For kids 0-6 who love airplanes, they'll freak out at the fun at this runway romp at Falcon Field Airport's runway park! Join East Valley Moms on Saturday, March 27, for a runway romp at Falcon Field. Kids will get close-up views of fixed-wing aircrafts and helicopters on the ramp, taxiways and runways and get to see planes parked especially for our runway romp. On the miniature runway (within sight of the real runway), each child will participate in a paper airplane flying contest—we’ll have six different designs for inspiration, or kids can freestyle their folds. May the best planes win their petite pilots prizes. Most importantly, fuel for fun this day will be provided to all participants by Duck Donuts, East Valley Mom’s favorite local donut shop. Other fun activations for kids include free binoculars for an even better view as the aircraft take off, land and hover, plus kids can meet an air traffic control pro to learn about how planes are kept safe above Mesa’s skies. Each child will receive a goodie bag from Falcon Field as well. COVID-19 safety precautions recommended by the CDC will be followed at this outdoor event, including event size limited to 20 participants.
