Rocky Mountain Catastrophe & Restoration is seeking full time apprentice carpenters! SUMMARY Responsible for general carpentry duties such as painting, basic plumbing, installation, etc. Other duties include maintaining a clean jobsite and the cleaning of tools and equipment as needed. RMCAT will provide on-going training to improve an employees skill set. The most important requirement is willingness to learn! Training will be provided for the right candidate. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Wear company-provided Personal Protective Equipment as needed. Wear clothing/gear necessary to deal with the extreme climate that exists at high altitude. Communicate (verbally and written) in English. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to understand construction terminology related to framing components and building materials and methods. Move items/equipment, sometimes weighing over 50 lbs. Provide outstanding customer service. Must be able to safely operate power tools. Exhibit a sense of urgency, professional demeanor, positive attitude and strong work ethic. Must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license. Must be able to pass a background check. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES · Assist project managers as needed. · Abide by all RMCAT safety rules and precautions. · Understand proper tool selection for various carpentry tasks. · Transport equipment and packed materials. · Properly record time worked at each job site. · Other general duties as assigned. Work Environment includes: regular exposure to outside weather conditions, frequent driving on winter roads, exposure to dust or airborne particles, occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, frequent lifting, moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, tight spaces such as crawl spaces, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, mold exposure, and risk of electrical shock.
