BURR RIDGE, IL — In recent days, Burr Ridge police have handled cases involving a threatened IT director, a mask complaint, a possible doorbell game, a basement odor and a suspicious couple. Here is information from the latest police reports: IT director threatened The IT director at Integrated Project Management, 15W060 N. Frontage Road, told police Feb. 23 that he received a voicemail with someone saying, "I'll kill you." He said he did not know the phone number and could not think of anyone who would say something like that to him. An officer attempted to call the number, but it was disconnected. The officer said it was most likely a robocaller and advised the employee to call back if he received any more concerning voicemails. The director said he was not concerned and felt safe and that he only wanted to document the message. Mask complaint A person complained to police Tuesday that people at LifeTime fitness center, 601 Burr Ridge Parkway, were not wearing masks. When officers dropped by, they told the person at the front desk about the complaint. She said she would notify managers when they came in. The officers said they saw many people leaving with masks on and a few walking out the door maskless. Everyone entering had a mask on. Ding dong ditch? A resident in the 11600 block of White Oak Court told police Feb. 26 that a man in dark clothing rang his doorbell and then ran away. An officer was unable to locate the person. Basement odor A resident on County Line Road reported Feb. 27 of smelling an odor from her basement. When she went into the basement, she saw it was flooded with moldy boxes on the ground. The smell was coming from the furnace. Suspicious couple Two people went to the police station to report Feb. 27 that they were in the south parking garage at the Village Center, 701 Village Center Drive, when they saw a suspicious couple. A person in a 2018 Kia was parked on top level of the garage. It was occupied by a man who was looking at the people and a woman who was sleeping. The Kia left the garage and proceeded to get onto Interstate 55. Argument during journey Two people traveling from Rockford to Oak Lawn on Sunday had an argument and the driver did not want the other person in her car. One of them decided to stay at a hotel in Willowbrook, while the driver continued on her way to Rockford.
