Vacancy Announcement Building Services (Multiple Positions) Full-time; Benefited Position Numbers: 00009654, 00009946, 0010008, 00028456 (Internal/External) Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide custodial care services to assigned buildings on the campus grounds. Perform general cleaning to maintain the facilities in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition. At Valley City State University, we take every employee’s health and safety seriously. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have worked hard to ensure our building services staff are working in a safe environment. We have made changes to personal protective equipment requirements, cleaning and sanitation equipment, and behavioral changes to support our staff. Available Positions/Hours: Rhoades Science Center- 2:30pm-11:00pm Memorial Student Center- 7:00am-4:00pm Kolstoe Hall- 7:00am-4:00pm Foss Music - 7:00am-4:00pm Minimum Qualifications: A High School Diploma or equivalent; valid Driver’s License; ability to lift and move 50 pounds; physical ability to perform routine custodial duties; basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; and experience using email are required. Preferred Qualifications: Prior cleaning or custodial experience; knowledge of maintenance and operation of various custodial equipment; institutional or industrial custodial experience; and ability to communicate verbally, non-verbally, clearly and professionally are preferred. Compensation: $22,000 - $24,000 with a $500 sign-on bonus.
