Gas May Hit $3 for First Time in 2,300 Days (2300 ÷ 365= 6.3 years.), As the price of oil has risen, predictions that gasoline will top $3 nationwide for the average gallon of regular have grown. Recently, the carefully followed analysts at GasBuddy forecast a 70% chance per-gallon gas prices will reach $3 by Memorial Day. The company added: "The last time the national average reached the $3/gal threshold was over 2,300 days ago, on October 10, 2014, but did get close in 2018, when the national average reached $2.97 per gallon." https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/gas-may-hit-3-for-first-time-in-2-300-days/ar-BB1ehkvM?ocid=msedgdhp Then theres this one, Eric Trump misleadingly claimed on social media that gasoline was $5 per gallon “under O’Biden,” but “unbelievably good” during his father’s administration. The average retail price of gasoline while Barack Obama was president was $2.97. The average price under President Donald Trump has been $2.49, which includes lower prices due to the pandemic. https://www.factcheck.org/2020/10/misleading-messages-on-gasoline-prices/ Just for fairness here is an article that sort of supports your claim, (from 2019) But still an opinion piece The second lowest price, $2.14/gallon, happened in 2016 following another oil price collapse. That same collapse had also impacted the price of $2.31/gallon in 2015, the third lowest price on the chart. President Obama was in office at that time. This year's (2019) price of $2.33/gallon is the fourth lowest on the graphic. However, I would acknowledge that President Trump probably had more impact on this price than Bush or Obama had on the other low prices. But the jury is still out as to whether President Trump's impact will be more than fleeting. The short-term benefit of lower gas prices came at a cost. Saudi Arabia is already reducing oil production and pushing oil prices higher. It is doubtful they will be as compliant when it comes to future requests that they pump more oil. https://www.forbes.com/sites/rrapier/2019/01/11/gasoline-prices-under-presidents-bush-obama-and-trump/?sh=121750671f71 Now find me something that says the rise in oil prices right now are due to Biden's policy's (something other than tweets and facebook posts please)
