Certified Family Daycare located in Lake Oswego, Oregon has openings available for teacher qualified candidates due to growth within our enrollment: DayCare Teacher-Full-time DayCare Teacher (English and French speaking is a plus) We are looking for a Child Care Teacher to encourage the healthy intellectual and psychological growth of the infants and toddlers in our home based daycare. Duties and tasks performed will include: Actively teaching and caring for infants and young toddlers ranging in ages from six-weeks to 36 months of age. Providing care for infants and toddlers including assisting with toilet training, diaper changes, feedings, and rest time- Preferred candidates will have certification/teaching license or equivalent professional experience working with children of that age group. Working in preschool involves frequent bending, lifting, cleaning, and food preparation. Responsibilities · Provide basic care and caregiving activities · Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the child's abilities · Evaluate children's performance to make sure they are on the right learning track · Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their children · Observe children's interactions and promote the spirit of harmony · Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action · Collaborate with other colleagues · Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the official sources Requirements · Proven experience as a child care / daycare teacher · Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods · Methodical and creative · Patience, flexibility and love for children · Strong communication and time management skills · Certificate in first aid and CPR · Degree in early childhood education · Minimum 2 year's experience · excellent classroom management skills, · ability to improvise or problem-solve · ability to adapt to constantly changing classroom environments · aptitude for creating positive interactions with all students · To start, you must have: · Must pass a background check · Fingerprinting · First Aid and CPR · Food handlers' card · PSU online courses (Child Abuse and Health) · Able to work well with others · Must have their own transportation · Dependable and Punctual Qualified candidates are asked to call at Competitive pay- Casual dress code- Company paid medical benefit offered to employees following the first of the month after successful completion of thirty working days- Paid holidays offered after ninety days of employment- Paid Professional Development Days offered each calendar year-(Offering for CEU’s to be earned)- Vacation and sick pay accrual offered- Employee paid Dental insurance available the first of the month following successful completion of thirty days of employment- Voluntary enrollment in “Oregon Save” available to employees-
