QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum one year experience effectively performing janitorial/ housekeeping, grounds cleanup, retail; production, assembly, warehousing; and/or other type(s) of relevant industry work experience. Training/supervisory experience preferred, particularly working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Must possess ability to interact effectively with persons served and to effectively train, supervise and direct their efforts in completing contracted tasks. Excellent communication skills and acceptable written skills required. Must have valid CA D/L, good driving record and be over the age of 25 years old for insurable availability purposes. Must pass fingerprint and drug test. Class B w/passenger endorsement preferred, not required. High school graduate or equivalent. CPR/First Aid certification required. GENERAL DUTIES: Primary responsibility is to provide training, supervision, and oversight of persons with developmental disabilities assigned to perform a variety of multi-purpose services and related activities at various businesses throughout the community. Ensure completion of assigned services and related activities by trainees in keeping with established schedule, safety guidelines, and the statement of work/customer specifications for each site. Depending on the contract(s), may be required to work outside year round. Further, must support and assist trainees in the achievement of individual goals and objectives for increased independence and personal and vocational success, as outlined in their individual plans.
