Compensation: $17.00/hr., regular advancements given based on performance Employment type: part-time Weekdays 6am-10am (Possible flexibility with start and end time) Salary: $17.00/hr., regular advancements given based on performance I am a professional woman with cerebral palsy who works as a licensed psychologist and leads a very active life. I love to mentor others and provide opportunities for people to grow in life skills, and positions of service. I am looking for a respectful, responsible, and reliable individual to fill the morning personal assistant/housekeeper position. You will be required to work 4-5 hours per day and assist with personal care as well as day-to-day duties to ensure the home is running smoothly. This is an on-going part-time opportunity for someone who enjoys house organization, cleaning and cooking with some personal care for a busy executive with a disability and her family. If you enjoy creative problem solving and prefer to spend your days outside of the typical office setting, this is the job for you. Must love dogs. While no experience in this particular kind of work is needed, strong candidates will have a demonstrated history of good judgement, responsibility, and a desire to learn. Successful candidates will be self-motivated team players who work productively with little supervision. Organizational skills and common sense are key. Previous personal care experience is not necessary (in fact those new to the work are preferred!) but dependability, curiosity, and a conscientious driven work ethic are an absolute must. A minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience in a private home is preferred. I manage my life interdependently and employ 6-8 assistants to help do so. Most of my assistants are seeking a consistent part-time job with the potential to advance to full-time. This position is onsite in a private home. During the course of the pandemic, adherence to precautionary measures per employee policy is required. Primary Job Tasks 1. Personal care needs - shower, make-up, hair, bathroom assistance, getting dressed 2. Domestic tasks – regular house leaning, laundry, sweeping, straightening up, gardening (plant care), meal preparation, and animal care. 3. Errands - shopping, etc. 4. Household organization and inventory management Desired Skills/Personal Characteristics Applicants must be highly dependable, punctual, organized, hardworking, flexible, energetic, positive, motivated, responsible, open to feedback, and be able to work in a team setting. Successful candidates should have the ability to cook and prepare meals and have a passion for cleanliness and hygiene. This is a moderately physical position, so applicants must be comfortable walking, squatting, bending, standing, and lifting.
