Riverbank Marina is accepting applications for a Seasonal Assistant Harbor Master. Qualified applicants will be called for a phone interview. Due to the volume of applications we receive and our limited staff, we cannot respond to all applicants. Riverbank Marina is located on Garden Hwy by I5, (Chevys on the River). Riverbank Marina includes 200 boat slips, 3 restaurants, 15 offices and the parking lots. Hours will vary. A regular schedule will be Thursday - Sunday, appx. 30-40 hours/week. Holidays are mandatory work days, regardless of the day of week the Holiday falls. The position will run through September or October, depending on the weather. Pay depends on experience, minimum of $16.00/hour. Applicants must: 1. Be over 18 2. Be able to work late if needed 3. Have reliable transportation 4. Be able to swim 5. Be computer literate, including Word and Excel. Quickbooks knowledge is a plus. 6. Possess customer service skills, on the phone and in person 7. Be organized 8. Be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing 9. Be able to draft letters, take notes, return calls, follow directions etc. On occasion the Assistant may need to fill in for Marina Dock Hands during the summer and must also be qualified to perform their tasks. Marina Dock Hands are hired for the summer to: 1. Make sure boaters who are NOT regular tenants are not docking in tenant’s slips 2. Make sure the security gates are not being propped open & alcohol is not brought into the public areas 3. Empty trash cans from the docks & property, pick up trash on docks & property to keep the place clean 4. Assist tenants in docking and carrying coolers, etc. to and from their boats 5. Assist in guest docking and dinner docking 6. Make sure the Accommodation Dock doesn’t get overcrowded and boaters keep their stereos off 7. Patrol the property to discourage vandalism and theft 8. For everyone’s safety, make sure tenants & guests follow the marina’s rules and regulations And Dock Hands must: 9. Be able to work outside in the sun and withstand Sacramento’s hot summer days 10. Be physically fit and able to carry 50 lbs up/down stairs 11. Be available all weekends during the summer. Working on Holidays is mandatory May – September.
