Job Description: We are looking for an energetic and conscientious young person interested in learning the Lawn Care / Landscaping Business from the ground up. Many of the entrepreneurial skills needed to succeed will be taught to you in your daily tasks. Not only will you learn landscaping and lawn maintenance techniques, you will also learn life skills that will aid you in whatever career you may choose in the future. If you are interested in a challenging job and someday possibly owning your own business this could be the job for you. Responsibilities: *Maintaining residential landscaping *Maintaining lawns, trees, shrubs, turf and irrigation. *Fertilizing lawns, flowers and shrubs, spreading mulch, preventing and eliminating weeds. *Trimming trees, hedges, shrubs. *Planting trees and bushes. *Prepping and installing sod. *Cleaning properties of waste and debris. *Dump runs. *Operating and maintaining hand tools such as loppers, saws and shovels efficiently. *Operating and maintaining trucks and power equipment. *Utilizing insecticides, fertilizers and chemical sprays to treat diseases. *Conducting basic irrigation repairs. *Removing snow by using shovel or snow blowers. Requirements: *High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent. * Preferably 1-year lawn care / landscaping or comparable labor experience. *Valid driver's license. *Free from allergies that interfere with groundskeeping duties. *Ability to work overtime. *Ability to follow instructions. *Ability to perform work on your feet up to 90% of the time. *Physically agile and dexterous. * THIS IS A DRUG FREE ENVIRONMENT * ALL EMPLOYEES ARE SUBJECT TO RANDOM DRUG TESTS.
