This is a part-time position, but could transition to full time if candidate also possesses maintenance skills and/or landscaping skills. Pay dependent on experience, but will start at no lower than $9.25 per hour. RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintains the overall cleanliness of the hotel’s interior and exterior public space by cleaning all assigned areas thoroughly on a daily basis. • Removes all litter and trash from public spaces and assist housekeeping staff with removal of guestroom trash. • Performs other cleaning duties as directed by other team leaders. • Turns in articles found in public space to lost and found REQUIREMENTS • Prior houseman or grounds keeping experience with ability to see what needs to be done and the initiative to accomplish those tasks. • Must be available to work 5 to 6 days per week from 7am to 12pm. (Some variation is possible.) • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills. • Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance. JOB SETTING AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS Employees in this position work primarily indoors and outdoors. To perform the job successfully the candidate must be able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum weight of approximately 65 lbs, stand for long periods of time, kneel, bend and crawl, squat and crouch, and tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals.
