I need help with cutting down a tree

My friend, who is a single mom and struggling with life right now, needs help cutting down two trees in her yard. One in the front is an Aspen tree and the city has told her to cut it down and the other is a pine tree in her back yard. She does not have the money to cut them down, she does have a ladder ( I think she will need a lift) and a small chain saw but no experience with cutting down a tree!!! She has a son in the Army in DC who is struggling with PTSD and a son in college who works three jobs to pay his tuition. She is a hard worker and is working from home now and not making the money she was making before. Anyone out there who has experience with cutting down a tree and can give her some help??
