Role and Responsibilities
The Carpenter Foreman is responsible for coordinating job tasks, monitoring laborer performance, and ensuring carpentry jobs are completed on time. The ideal candidate(s) should have knowledge of commercial construction and remodeling trades and practices. Proficiency in the following trade skills is desired:
- Stain-grade trim work
- Drywall – metal studs, hang doors, drill and set door hardware, set windows, layout for stairs and common rafters.
- Concrete formwork
- Demolition and build-outs
- Painting
- Service work
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Three to Five years of construction experience
-Three to Five years of trade experience
- Ability to perform construction-related activities for prolonged periods in adverse weather
conditions.
- High School Education or Equivalent
- Valid Class C driver’s license
Preferred Skills
- Ability to read blueprints/building plans
- Ability to exert heavy physical effort (Handling objects up to 80 pounds)
- Quality control
- Mastery in Woodworking
- Familiar with the use of Hand Tools
- Competency in Budgeting
*Work locations include Montgomery County, MD and North-West DC
