PrideStaff is recruiting for a Mixer Operator for 1st and 2nd Shift for a food manufacturing company located in Mills River. Job Summary: Responsible for setting up, operating and monitoring mixers and blenders to process raw materials such as flour, food grade acids, fillers, fibers, dairy products, eggs, or other ingredients. Will also include exposure to food allergens, (-i.e., wheat, eggs, milk and tree nuts). Duties and Responsibilities: - Weigh and/or measure ingredients to ensure conformance to work orders. - Clean and maintain equipment according to maintenance and sanitation procedures. - Collect samples of products for testing. - Test and inspect ingredients to evaluate quality. - Record any related production data on specified forms. - Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas. - Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or with hands, in order to ensure conformance to established policies. - Observe production environment and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. - Read work orders to determine most efficient production options. - Perform on-going housekeeping to maintain a sanitary and safe environment. Qualifications and Requirements: - Minimum of 2+ years in a production-based environment - Understanding of machines and tools - Strong attention to detail - Multi tasker - Ability to tell time and read scales. - Knowledge of raw materials, production procedures, allergen and quality control. - Knowledge of the English language including the spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar - Knowledge of basic math - Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. regularly on a daily basis Hours of Work: 1st Shift - Mon - Tues 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and Fri 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and 2nd Shift - Mon - Tues 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm and Fri 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm Apply online at or in person at 5 Regent Park Blvd., Unit 102, Asheville, NC 28806 or call 828-782-3392.
