Exactly what it says. I want to start a group with the sonic sensibilities of late 80s/early 90s New Jack Swing/Golden Age Hip-Hop and the sartorial/conceptual sensibilities of British Two-Tone Ska. All filtered through the urgency of right now. Think Rhythm Nation meets The Specials. Thinking music you can dance your ass off to. I feel like Americans could use something like that right now. I want to be loud and political, while still being fun, danceable, and with a unified style. I am a white guitar player, and I have a solid white drummer for the project. That's about as many white people as I feel comfortable having in this project. Seeking bassist, singers, keys players, DJs, rappers, hell, whatever you got, let's hear it. I can't be the only one thinking along these lines. Send your demos, ideas, inquiries along. I want to get this thing rolling as soon as the pandemic lifts.
