Position Overview: The Field Installation Supervisor will • Ensure that safety policies are strictly adhered to. • Provide leadership and supervise on-site staff, sub-contractors, service technicians and other parties. • Build relationships and trust with customers and contractors. • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations • Investigate and resolve customer complaints. • Review project progress to insure that deadlines are met. • View and assess all installations and report on the install/installer quality daily directly after site visit. • Perform all on-site activities related to installation, service, repair, management and maintenance of installed product. • Diagnose errors or technical problems and assist in the determination of proper solution for both installers and service technicians. • Communicate changes in schedules and budgets internally to the proper parties. • Complete basic service calls and assist in company field related activities when required. • This position reports to the Service/Installation Manager. Benefits: • Competitive Salary, based on experience • Mileage allowance for vehicle use including stipend for maintenance. • Full benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, AFLAC, & Simple IRA retirement plan Skills/Knowledge: • Must be able to develop a high level understanding of all products and their applications • Knowledge of Florida Building Code requirements. • Must be able to take final measurements prior to ordering product • Schedule and perform final walk through as well as complete any final trim requirements (and fastener covers, etc.) • Must have problem solving abilities and the ability to think on his/her feet in order to appropriately resolve urgent service situations that arise in the general course of business. • Demonstrates open communication and the ability to maintain professionalism at all times • Works collaboratively and creates a sense of trust and reliability with internal team and customers • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, flexible about hours, responsive to customer needs • Seeks out internal experts and utilizes their knowledge; Focused on details and follow through • Supports change and innovation within organization Education and/or Experience: 5+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional Skills: Must be a team player and exhibit a strong desire to learn and promote self-growth. Must be pro-active, have a good attitude, be self-disciplined, and self-motivated. Must be a "take-charge" person with a demonstrated ability to follow projects through to completion. Attention to administrative detail is required. Must be articulate, able to give clear instructions, demonstrate organizational skills, and meet reasonable deadlines. Must be able to hold firm when necessary, provide constructive feedback, and compromise when called for. Must present in a clean and neat physical appearance and strictly abide by company dress code serving as a role model for other employees, customer and visitors. The Installation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Installation and assist with the order/receiving verification program. The Installation Supervisor works closely with the retail sales process to improve the quality of installations and the customer experience. The Installation Supervisor will ensure that safety policies are strictly adhered to. This includes monitoring of sub-contracted installers as well as staff installation team, developing of new installers, resolving installation disputes and negotiating and monitoring installer availability. Through job-site evaluation, he/she will ensure that installation instructions are met and enforced while maintaining cost and time effective installation teams.
