Description
We got Zoey on Halloween 2017 and they estimated she was 4 months. They didn't say the breed but she looks like a Tennessee Brindle Hound except she doesn't bay or even bark a lot like a hound. It has been a very tough decision to rehome her as she has been a great companion and is well loved and listens well except with the kittens. She has always been wherever we are but we have had to put her outside because she doesn't do well with kittens/cats. She left the gerbils alone and she doesn't touch the guinea pigs (now, after training) but the kids have started fostering tiny kittens and she is not taking to them. Even on leash she lunges and barks at them. We have tried several training techniques but we have a different set every few weeks and I don't know if she just has a thing with kittens or it is more that there are new invaders in her home all the time. She won't even bark at the squirrels in the backyard, just the kittens and especially when there is a mom cat. So we put her outside instead of leaving her in her crate all day but after playing a bit outside she goes around to the windows whining at whomever she can find. That's why we want to get her to a family that wants a companion dog. She is in the 50 pound range. She will come with her crate, all her food and toys and bed and shampoo and whatever else she has. She is spayed and up to date on shots and really wants to be around us at all times though she will go to her bed or crate when told. She also loves running and turns very quickly so she might make a good agility dog as well. She plays catch with herself too. We are asking $100 for everything.
