I need an electrical outlet rewired

I bought a house and an outlet is wired incorrectly and I need someone to wire it properly. There are two switches side by side I think one was a porch light and one for the kitchen dome, when we turn on the dome and use a wall outlet on the opposite side of the kitchen the light will blink and the lights will change on the outlet tester. Based on one of the wires being red, I am thinking that there was a three way switch and the person accidentally wired the switch into the traveler wires. Still not sure why that would affect the outlet on the opposite side of the kitchen but hoping to find someone that can help me resolve the issue.
