We are looking for Construction Laborer(s) FSLA Classification: Non-Exempt Essential Functions/Responsibilities: • Assist as required in all manual labor aspects of the project. • Clears and prepares work areas. • Spotter to heavy equipment operators. • Performs demolition. • Digging trenches; Backfill trenches when necessary. • Load and unload equipment and materials. • Assist crew members in manual labor and shovel work, operate power tools, and install concrete and asphalt. • Maintain a clean job site- pick up tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards. • Ability to lift heavy objects 50lbs. on a regular basis, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor under adverse field conditions. • Must have knowledge of proper use and safety of equipment, tools, materials and supplies used in construction. • Maintain proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment • Follow direction of the Superintendent/General Superintendent with regards to daily production schedule and activities Qualifications: • 5-10+ years of construction experience • Must know how to operate hand and power tools of all types • Ability to lift heavy objects 50+ lbs. • Walking/Standing/Bending for long periods of time • Perform strenuous physical labor in outdoor elements • Must be able to work weekends and/or overtime when needed • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English • Required to have valid Driver’s License • Required to pass pre-employment drug test/physical/background check Disclaimer: The information in this job description indicates the general nature and level of work to be performed.
