SEKO Logistics, part of Shearer Companies, is seeking to hire Warehouse personnel for our Oakdale, PA facility. Essential Duties and responsibilities: Counting of physical inventory. Handling of hazardous and recycled waste materials. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition following prescribed safety regulations. Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas. Opening bales, crates, and other containers. Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times. Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped. Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program. Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times. Responsible for making arrangements for pick-up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase request. Supports received goods and supplies to be used in, or to aid in, the production of goods and the shipment of goods produced destined for sale to our customer base. Qualifications: High school diploma/GED Minimum of two (2) year's experience in a manufacturing environment Minimum of one (1) year of forklift experience Familiar with and able to interpret packing slips, enter into the computer the correct information, to acknowledge receipt of the goods into the purchase order and processing database. Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers. Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements. Must be familiar with the most common material handling equipment. This full-time non-exempt hourly position is based in our fast-paced Oakdale, PA location.
