Position: Driver - Full Time J&S Express LLC is looking for a qualified and motivated driver with clean driving record and moving/delivery experience to join our team! Driver will operate designated company trucks to deliver merchandise! Here are some, but not limited to, of the duties and responsibilities of our Driver position: Loading, transporting, and delivering items such as, furnitures and or appliances to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner. Installing the items in clients homes per delivery instructions. Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied. Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles. Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients. Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules. Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record. Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries. Responsible for contacting customers to confirm delivery details, determine placement of merchandise, follow safety and lifting protocols during deliveries, and conducts safety reviews. Travel Requirements: This role requires frequent traveling between stores and customer sites within the district; at times may need to travel outside of district. May travel to outer islands if needed to. Skills Preferred Physical ability – lifting, loading, and unloading heavy boxes and items like furniture and pianos require a lot of physical strength and endurance Customer service – movers have a key role in customer service since they need to follow their customers’ requests, answer their questions, and sometimes defuse situations with dissatisfied customers Teamwork – movers usually do not work alone and need to interact with a driver and other movers to effectively complete each job assignment Organization skills – they use their organizational skills to plan how to best pack items and arrange them in the moving truck Communication skills – creating inventory reports requires movers to have good writing and verbal communication skills help them keep the moving team and customers informed Minimum Qualifications Must have valid Driver’s License Ability to read, write, and perform basic addition and subtraction. Must be able to carry a minimum of 100lbs individually or with help of a partner. Must be 21 years of age. Previous delivery/moving experience preferred but not required! Preferred Qualifications Clean driving abstract At least 6 months of driving on Oahu 1 year of experience driving a 16’ and or 18’ Box trucks. Must be tool handy (know how to operate drill and other basic installation tools) Full Time position must be available to work some Sundays.
