Rogers Engineering, LLC is a full service Land Surveying company in Ocala, FL. The company provides surveying services to Marion County and surrounding Central Florida areas. We currently have an opening for a Land Survey Crew Chief or a Land Survey Technician. Typical surveying tasks include: boundary, topographical, asbuilts, construction layout, ALTA, route, and other types of surveys. This is a full-time permanent position with competitive pay, paid vacations, and benefits. Salary will be commensurate to experience and skill level. **CANDIDATE FOR SURVEY CREW CHIEF: must have experience as a crew chief with knowledge of all surveying procedures and operations of survey instruments. Must be dependable, willing to work full time and be able to tolerate hot and cold weather conditions. Examples of Duties: Primarily responsible for the overall operation of the field crew, data collection, efficient survey methods, troubleshooting, and interactions with the CAD technicians. Qualifications: Graduation from high school or GED, experience in procedures for collecting data and construction staking. Must have a valid operator driver’s license with a good driving record. **CANDIDATE FOR SURVEY TECHNICIAN: must have a basic comprehension of maps and measurements and have an interest in the techniques and practices of field surveying. Must be dependable, willing to work full time and be able to tolerate hot and cold weather conditions. Examples of Duties: Primarily responsible for the operation of certain land surveying instruments that include prism rods, level rods, measuring instruments, and GPS equipment. Use of hand tools such as shovels, machetes, and sledge hammers. Qualifications: Graduation from high school or GED, experience or interest in learning surveying procedures for collecting data and construction staking. Must have a valid operator driver’s license with a good driving record.
