`Join a naturalist and learn about some very important species that call "Ding" their home. *All tours are led outside, but since 6 feet cannot be maintained while the tour is conducted, masks are required by all participants. By signing up for this tour, you are adhering to wearing a mask while on the tour. *Tours will not be conducted if guidelines are not met by all participants and the guide has the right to terminate the tour if deemed unsafe. Spoonbills, manatees, gopher tortoises, oh my! Join us on a car-based caravan tour of J. N. "Ding" Darling NWR and learn about some of the endangered species that call the refuge home. Participants will follow a naturalist along Wildlife Drive while in the comfort of your own car. Meet at the flagpole in front of the Visitor and Education Center to begin your tour. Arrive before 1:50pm to check-in and confirm your attendance. If not confirmed by 1:50pm, your spot can be given away. This tour is limited to 10 individuals and you must bring your own transportation. All participants must register for the event, even if riding in the same vehicle. Once all participates arrive, all will follow the naturalist into the drive with free entrance for the tour (no free re-entry). This tour is scheduled for 1 hour but feel free to leave when you've had your fill! Your naturalist will guide you up to the Cross Dike intersection, you are free to explore the rest of the drive at your leisure. All wildlife drive regulations apply including one way flow of traffic and speed limit.
