Description
Installation Technician The Installation Technician is responsible for the installation, startup and support of air compressors, accessories and related compressed air products. Areas of support include but are not limited to compressed air system layout and design, system performance evaluation and installation. The Installation Technician works directly with internal and external customers to provide solutions to a wide array of potentially complicated field issues involving mechanical failures within the air system. The successful candidate will excel in the ability to interact with customers and provide technical solutions in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner. DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITES (OTHERS MAY BE ADDED): • With a high degree of customer service, install and startup air compressors • Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, lots of unused materials, and clean up debris • Explain system capabilities and operation to the customer along with features and benefits • Read drawings and interpret piping layouts to properly install compressor rooms and building compressed air systems. • Perform preventative maintenance on air compressor products • Understand customer needs, answer questions, and recommend corrective actions to exceed customer expectations • Complete all necessary paperwork, including work orders, service orders, customer contracts, and company forms • Exhibit professional appearance and conduct and provide customers with excellent customer service • Ability to build trust quickly; interact and communicate well with customers and coworkers • Follow all safety procedures, environmental guidelines and company rules and regulations KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: • Requires technical knowledge and interpersonal skills typically gained through completion of technical school, related experience, or college degree (preferred) • 3 to 5 years of plumbing or mechanical role required • Moderate level of analytical ability is required in order to find solutions to technical problems. • Must be proficient in problem solving, process analysis • Firm commitment to customer service excellence in all circumstances • Computer literacy with organizational, verbal, and written communication skills • Read and comprehend written technical information in the form of technical manuals, parts books, and relevant publications is essential • Ability to move frequently, including walking, stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling; lift tool cases and assorted service-related tools weighing range of 25 to 50 pounds • Travel to customer sites, off-site meetings, company related functions, etc. with short notice. • Maintain a valid driver' s license and good MVR • Must be self-motivated, able to work independently within team focused environment EDUCATION: High School and Technical College EDUCATION TYPE: Manufacturing or comparable working experience FS-Curtis is committed to a diverse workforce and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
