Be encouraged and equipped to continue pastoring with courage and integrity during this challenging ministry season. Ministry this past year has been tougher than normal. Some pastors feel like quitting. Others try every day to keep despair at bay. Many wonder whether they're cut out for ministering in these conditions. It's difficult to find people with whom we can process these challenges. And yet, it is our conviction that God has prepared us for such a time as this and wants to breath new life and encouragement into pastors who are doing his work in this season. This mini-conference will give you time to connect with other pastors, to worship and pray. Our hope is to create space for you to process what God is doing in your heart beneath the surface and to be encouraged by his loving presence. Our guest speaker/facilitator is Michael Johnson, a CRC/RCA pastor in northern New Jersey who's heavily involved in leading men's retreats through Battle for the Heart. Michael speaks regularly at retreats and conferences and loves "going deep" with those who have the courage to face the difficult questions with God. On Monday afternoon, we'll enjoy an outdoor BBQ (weather permitting) and play softball together (optional). All participants must be COVID symptom free and not have had contact with any COVID-positive persons for two weeks. We will observe social distancing inside during the meetings, and all participants will be expected to wear masks while inside.
