Copper is 6 month old Beagle and Treeing Walker Coonhound mix. He is a very sweet puppy that loves everyone. The reason we are giving him up is because my husband is much more allergic than we expected and copper isn’t happy outside in his kennel alone. We would like to see him go to a home that will either keep him inside or outside with another dog. We would love to see him used for tracking and hunting like we wanted to. He retrieves good and responds to retrieving commands but looses interest quick which isn’t surprising as that isn’t what he was born to do. We have attempted some scent training and he did well but haven’t gotten very far with that yet. He is potty trained and house trained. He responds to come, sit, stay, lay down, shake ( that was just for fun ) kennel, heel, drop it. Of course all of these could still be better as he is still learning. He is good with other dogs. He has done really well with little kids but plays very hard so he needs to be supervised. Sits well for a bath. He has not seen water yet other than baths. Rides well in the car. Loves to run along side the four-wheeler and will ride on the four-wheeler. He loves to be warm, he will lay in front of the wood stove all day. $400 rehoming fee, includes a collar, short leash, 30 ft training leash, very nice dog crate and his toys. Serious inquiries only.
