Join us in celebrating Juneteenth Heritage Festival at The REAL LIFE Wellness Center with a 5k race/1 mile walk. The 1 mile/walk Join us in celebrating Juneteenth Heritage Festival at The REAL LIFE Wellness Center with a 5k race/1 mile walk. The 1 mile/walk is free, but please still register to participate. Donations are welcomed. A $500 book scholarship will be presented to an African American male and female 2021 senior high school grad. Thanks for your support! Scholarship Criteria: 1) 2021 High school graduating senior 2) Participate or volunteer for the 5k race. 3) High school transcript 4) Enrollment in summer or fall semester of the application year of any degree granting program or trade program. 5) Completion of essay and personal development worksheet Race Registration: Early bird registration is $25 through April 30 (shirt guaranteed) $30.00 May1 -  June 1 (shirt  guaranteed) June 2 - Race day- $35 (shirt not guaranteed) (registration begins at 7:00 am and ends at 7:40 am race day) Shirts can be purchased for those participating in the 1 mile walk for $20. Race Course:   The race will start and finish at REAL LIFE Wellness 268 Main St. Grambling, La 71245 - North on Main St. -Left on W Martin Luther King Jr. - Left on RWE Jones Dr. - Left on Main (at the fork/”Y” in the road) -Right on Central Ave. - Left on Stadium View Dr. - Left on College Ave. - Right on Main St. *REGISTER EARLY! No shirts guaranteed to late registrants!*  Packet pick up Thursday, June 17 from 9am - 12pm and 4pm-7pm. Friday June 18 from 3 - 6pm at the REAL LIFE Wellness Center. Packets may also be picked up day of race beginning at 7:00 am until 7:40 am.   Overall male and female finishers in the 5K Race will receive an award. Top male and female finishers in each of the following age groups will also receive an award. Age Groups:  19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65–69, 70+   If threatening weather exists, REAL LIFE Events may delay the start of the race up to one hour if possible. In the event that a delay is not possible, the event may be canceled. Refunds will not be given.  Participant safety is our number one concern. If race officials deem it is unsafe for participants to be on the course, they reserve the authority to cancel the event. Refunds will not be given.
