Description

IndyNAWIC hosts Mayor Chuck Fewell and Joanie Fitzwater, Planning Director as they present the Master Plan for the City of Greenfield. City of Greenfield Greenfield was incorporated as a city in 1876 with a population of 2,023. Location and access have always been assets to the community, starting with the National Road (US 40) and the former Pennsylvania Railroad corridor and evolving to include State Road 9 and Interstate 70. As the boyhood home to James Whitcomb Riley, the community hosts one of the largest three-day festivals in the State, The Riley Festival. As Greenfield has worked to spur downtown building renovations, build new park amenities, and increase trail miles, building permits seem to indicate that the improvements are resonating with people looking for a place to live and businesses looking to locate or invest in their existing buildings. Today, with a population close to 23,000, Greenfield is continuing to grow and issued more single-family permits in 2020 than any of the previous years. As a community, we are optimistic about continued growth and interest in the community and region. Join IndyNAWIC as we explore the possibilities and vision with the City of Greenfield. Guest Speakers: Mayor Chuck Fewell and Joanie Fitzwater, Planning Director
