Express has partnered with a local facility that is need of a temporary Food Service Worker to help with daily preparation and serving of meals! This position is expected to last about 2-3 weeks to help with coverage as needed. Food Service Worker Location: Bellingham, WA Pay: $15.00 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm Job Duties: *Prepare and prep food *Maintains safe and sanitary conditions *Clean and sanitize work area and utensils and equipment *Follows and understand as procedures for preparation of all foods and nutrient content *Provides adequate servings in family-style and pre-portioned meal service *Serve food at correct temperatures *Make subsite menu options for allergies *Wash Dishes *Store food and supplies according to recommend procedure *Create weekly grocery list of all supplies that need to be purchased to complete that weeks menu *Work with staff on issues concerning food service or food projects *Attends job related classes and trainings *Lifting 50lbs *Other duties as assigned Benefits: *Easy way to earn some extra cash *Expand and learn some new skill sets Requirements: *Experience and knowledge of food service for large groups of people *Knowledge of children, general cooking techniques, and basic nutrition *Emotional, social, and physical capabilities to work with children and families *Good Health and personal qualities which include creativity, patience, empathy, and the ability to model positive social behavior *A willingness to continue education regarding early childhood education, nutrition, and cooking *Food handlers permit or able to obtain one Any questions?
