Do you believe in the value of teamwork? We do!! Community Housing Initiatives is seeking a part-time (24 hours/week Monday - Friday) energetic property Maintenance Tech to grow our team to serve our residents.
The position shares the responsibility for the overall day-to-day and preventative maintenance of our communities such as:
- Unit turns and apartment repairs.
- Performing light electrical, plumbing and carpentry work, light appliance repair, painting, drywall repair, install bathroom and kitchen faucets and fixtures, etc.
- Performing custodial and grounds work
- Keeping accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, work orders, inspections and inventories
- Positive interaction with residents
- Assist with unit inspections to ensure compliance standards are being met.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ideal candidate will possess related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and repair experience, however CHI is willing to train the right person
- Skills in customer service and reasoning
- Must be self-motivated and willing to take initiative
- Some computer - working knowledge for basics to track work orders, timesheets, etc.
- Ability to perform moderate heavy physical work, exerting up to 80-100 pounds of force on occasion up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 5-15 pounds constantly, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, including duties requiring repetitive motion skills.
- Must have dependable vehicle to transport tools and equipment to job sites. Must provide proof of liability insurance and valid driver's license for same.
