This position reports directly to the Sand & Gravel Manager. Overview of Duties • Assist in assuring smooth operation at the quarry location • Maintain continuous improvement efforts to ensure the location operates at optimal effectiveness and efficiency • Help maintain a culture focused upon safety and health, as well as compliance with company and regulatory safety, health, and environmental standards • Work with other Quarry Managers and Werner Supervisors to ensure timely production of material • Consistently produce high quality material while minimizing waste • Balance Werner Construction, Inc’s needs and customer needs with production capabilities & inventory levels • Follow an effective maintenance program to ensure that assets are maintained and work ready. Essential Experience and Skills • 3 or more years of production experience in sand & gravel, must have dredging experience • Strong working knowledge of all aspects of aggregate production - equipment, processes, quality standards and production capabilities • Understanding of safety and environmental regulations Preferred Experience and Skills • Stripping overburden and reclamation of material • Mechanical experience What does Werner Construction have to offer: • Competitive wages • Excellent benefits programs including Health, Dental and Life insurance • 401k retirement savings plan with company match
