BUCKEYE is hiring! We are looking for a maintenance and install crew-member who can work part-time (3 days/week with potential for more). We are a small, local company who does roughly 65% fine garden maintenance and pruning and 35% construction. Our work is typically in the Berkeley, Oakland, El Cerrito area. Check us out on instagram @ buckeye_garden JOB REQUIREMENTS: -Ability to lift and carry loads up to 50lbs and complete repetitive tasks -Ability to withstand the elements -Practice COVID safety protocols -Exceptional work ethic -Basic familiarity with landscaping tools and equipment -Passion for horticulture and for the outdoors -We are looking for someone who is motivated, has a positive attitude and can work independently as well as with a small team all while being self-directed. You must be reliable, on time and efficient. The right candidate is comfortable sharing their knowledge but is also able to follow instructions and has a willingness to learn. DESIRED (not required): -Experience in landscape construction and carpentry, and/or landscape maintenance -Knowledge of plant ID and cultural requirements, pest management and soil management -Savvy with irrigation systems -Skillful at pruning -Valid driver license. Own your own work vehicle (again, not necessary) This is not temporary work (“COVID job”). We are looking for crewmembers who are interested and passionate about the trade and want to grow with the company. Hourly compensation is based on experience ($17-25).
