Seeking organic vegetable garden laborer PT/mornings

We are seeking a part-time assistant to help with manual labor garden duties including harvesting, seeding, weeding by hand (this is a major part of the job!), managing compost piles, composting chicken coop straw and laying out fresh bedding, turning over garden beds, checking and making minor irrigation repairs, setting gopher traps and maintaining fruit trees. The job involves manual labor including bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds or more. It also involves working in the elements including sun and rain, although in many cases working in the rain can be avoided, and you’ll work outside in different temperatures ranging from cold to hot. The ideal candidate would have experience working on a small farm or in landscaping and enjoy being outdoors in that environment and must be comfortable performing farm-related manual labor. The schedule is ideally 1-2 days per week for a few hours a day in the morning, depending on the season and workload, with approximately 8-16 hours per week.
