Join us as we walk step by step around a fire engine and discuss each of the elements that make it such an important tool. Second to firefighters, the most important component of a fire department is the fire truck. For most, it is even the first thing people think of when they think of a fire department! So much so that around the world, a red fire truck is a recognizable symbol of firefighting. For our March CFA event, join us as we walk step by step around a fire engine and discuss each of the elements that make it such an important tool. We will also discuss the differences between a truck and an engine, as well as explain exactly why our FWFD apparatus’ are painted the unique blue and white instead of the more traditional red. We hope you can join us! Following CDC guidelines, we will maintain the utmost care for the safety of our attendees and staff during this event. Attendees must complete a temperature scan before being admitted to the event. All attendees must also wear a face covering at all times during the event and maintain at least 6' distancing between others not in their immediate household.
