Woman Hangs Up After Calling 911 To Say She Shot Someone

TAMPA, FL — Tampa police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday at the Palm Avenue Apartments 10610 N. 30th St. At 10:25 a.m. a woman called 911 from the apartment complex and told the dispatcher she shot someone. She then hung up. Officers arrived to find a man with a gunshot wound. Tampa Fire Rescue transported the man to the hospital where he later died. Although the caller was no longer at the apartment, officers found a gun on a couch. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Tampa police at 813-231-6130.
