Growing Gilchrist Garden Check-up is a short periodic workshop for home gardeners. The Growing Gilchrist Garden Check-up is a periodic workshop focused on common problems associated with home gardens. In each installment of this workshop we will cover relevant topics to the time of year and growing season for home gardeners. The first installment on March 26, 2021 will cover: Fertilization of Vegetable GardensIrrigation of Vegetable GardensPreparing for Pests and DiseaseAlternative methods for Picky PlantsThe Second Installment on April 23, 2021 will cover: Disease and Pest ManagementPesticides for Home GardensInsect Identification Harvesting and Make Plants LastBoth installments of the Garden Check-up will cover a variety of different topics and will allow attendees to also bring all of their questions and problem for help and direction to keep their gardens growing and producing all spring. ***Important: Per University of Florida COVID-19 policy masks will be required and must be worn at all times, even outdoors.*** Also attendance will be limited to the first 9 registered attendees. However, if the series fills to capacity an additional session will be created to accommodate an additional 9 attendees.
