Historic Piedmont Park Walking Tours The story of Piedmont Park itself is a microcosm of the history and growth of the city of Atlanta. Join Conservancy Docents for a 60- to 90-minute walking tour to discover how Piedmont Park has evolved from a forest, then a farm, then a fairground, and into the world class Park it is today. Tours are led by dedicated volunteers with years of experience researching the history of the park and conducting tours. Please dress for the elements and wear comfortable walking shoes. Tours may be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. Meet at the 12th Street and Piedmont Avenue park entrance. For more information, including parking, visit our website. Limited to 10 guests.
