Description
Barge Cleaners work as a team to safely and efficiently clean barges and maintain the equipment used in the unloading, storing and reclaiming process.
· Responsible for the cleaning of barges
· Cleaning consists of: high pressure washing, bobcat/skid steer usage, scraping/shoveling of materials, usage of blowers
· Ability to handle 250 – 300 psi hoses
· Ability to constantly handle 40-50 lb. items
· Outdoor conditions on a consistent basis during a 365 day calendar year
· Ability to climb 25’ ladders
· Comfortable working around and over water
· Team Player and willing to follow directions
· Other duties assigned by the cleaning dock supervisor or operations manager
Qualifications include:
Must be able to pass drug screen
Stable under pressure
Background Friendly

Barge Cleaners work as part of a team and must follow safe work practices to minimize the risk of danger to themselves and others. This position is 100% outdoors, in a range of weather conditions., which can be unpleasant. Hours of work can vary greatly depending on the business needs and special projects.
The physical work demand for this position are classified as very heavy work, during which the employee will exert 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently. Must be able to climb up and down ladders, work in confined spaces, and wear safety equipment.
