We offer complete Grounds Care for both summer and winter seasons for HOA's/Apartments/Commercial Properties, along with Landscaping, Irrigation, and Lawn Applications as well as deck building, maintenance, and in-home remodeling. www.apexoutdoormn.com Positions Available: -Fertilizer / Spray Technician ($18-$25/hr DOQ) -Irrigation Technician ($20-$25/hr DOQ) -Grounds Maintenance Crew Members ($14-$17/hr DOQ) -Grounds Maintenance Crew Leaders ($17-$25/hr DOQ) -Landscape Crew Members ($16-$22/hr DOQ) -Landscape Crew Leaders ($22-$30/hr DOQ) -Landscaping Sales/Designer (Salary/Commision DOQ) JOB DESCRIPTIONS/QUALIFICATIONS: ---------------------------------------------------------- Fertilizer / Spray Technician As a fertilizer/spray technician, your responsibility will be to help provide granular fertilizer and weed control products to turf via ride on spreaders/ sprayers for commercial and residential sites. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: -Ability to operate Ride-On Spreader / Sprayer, back pack sprayer, back pack blower & other equipment -Must have valid driver’s license -Licensed by MDA categories A & E. -Ability to identify and learn various seasonal conditions & turf weeds -Friendly Customer Service Skills -Positive Attitude & Coachable -Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions -Be able to consistently lift 50lbs -Safely operate all equipment & motor vehicles -Work independently or as a team & complete necessary paperwork -Be comfortable with various phone apps -Proper understanding of safety regulations to apply fertilizers, herbicides, & insecticides and/or willingness to learn -Continuing Education as required by Company & State -Experience preferred but willing to train the right person -Maintain company standard and level of professionalism ---------------------------- Irrigation Technician Technician applicants must have a strong knowledge of the design, general repair and maintenance requirements of all makes of residential and commercial lawn sprinkler systems. Must have experience with wells and pumps SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: -Valid driver's license -Ability to lift 75 lbs. and operate equipment in sitting position for up to 8 hrs./time -Ability to safely operate truck and landscape trailer if needed -Positive attitude and hard-working and be able to work safely in a team environment -Knowledge: -Complete lawn irrigation system activations and visual inspections -Program various controller models -Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to sprinkler heads, piping, valves, backflow preventers, etc. -Use wire tracers and/or valve locator to troubleshoot valve issues -Locate, excavate, and repair/replace damaged underground piping -Repair and/or replace rain sensor devices -Complete work orders and all associated paperwork -Professionally communicate with each customer the status/needs of their system -Perform system winterizations -Perform other tasks as needed -Physical Demands: -Ability to dig, trench, backfill, and tamp in addition to other physical activity related to lawn sprinkler system installation and its repair -Capable of standing, stooping, walking on uneven surfaces or lifting up to 50 pounds -Operate trenching equipment or other heavy machinery. -Subject to outdoor weather conditions, including but not limited to extreme cold, extreme heat, wet conditions, or exposure to animals (client's pets) or various insects. --------------------------------------------------- Grounds Maintenance Crew Members The Grounds Maintenance Crew Member will have a knowledge of lawn care equipment including zero-turn riders, walk behinds, string trimmers, and backpack blowers. Attention to detail and being a hard worker are qualities that are needed for this position. Operating a string trimmer will be a key portion of this position. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: -Reliable transportation to/from work -Ability to lift 75 lbs. -Operate equipment in sitting/standing position for up to 8 hrs./time -Positive attitude and hard-working and be able to work safely in a team environment -Ability to work with all levels of employees -Ability to pass random drug screen -1 year zero turn rider and walk-behind experience -1 year string trimmer experience ---------------------------------------------------- Grounds Maintenance Crew Leaders The Grounds Maintenance Crew Leader will have experience managing a crew, managing man-hour goals on each property, and managing crew accountability. Attention to detail, meeting customers’ expectations, and being a hard worker are qualities that are needed for this position. Knowledge of lawn care equipment including zero-turn riders, stand-ons, walk behinds, string trimmers, and backpack blowers is a must. This position requires an acceptable driving record. Trailer experience preferred. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: -2 years of experience managing a crew -Working within goals and expectations -Valid driver's license -Possess or ability to obtain Department of Transportation health card -Ability to lift 75 lbs. -Operate equipment in sitting/standing position for up to 8 hrs./time -Ability to safely operate truck and landscape trailer if needed -Positive attitude and hard-working and be able to work safely in a team environment -Ability to work with all levels of employees -Ability to pass random drug screen -2 years zero turn rider and walk-behind experience -2 years string trimmer experience -Snow removal experience ------------------------------------------------------------- Landscape Crew Members The Landscape Crew Member will have a knowledge of landscape tools, planting, hardscapes, irrigation, flowers, mulch, rock, sod, seed, etc. Attention to detail and being a hard worker are qualities that are needed for this position. Duties include staging materials, planting, hardscapes, irrigation, flowers, mulch, rock, sod, seed, etc. Attention to detail and multitasking is a quality that is needed for this position. The Landscape Crew Leader is a key component of our ability to sell and install additional landscaping within our portfolio of work. Valid Driver’s License and Truck/Trailer experience required.
