ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Hundreds of teachers will be vaccinated Friday at a special clinic held by Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital. South Nassau, working with the Nassau County Department of Health and County Executive Laura Curran, set up a dedicated Teacher's Vaccination Pilot Program to help vaccinate as many educators as possible. The vaccinations will be conducted at the hospital's COVID-19 Vaccination Center at 519 Merrick Road from noon to 7 p.m. Hospital officials say up to 300 teachers will be able to receive inoculations. Teachers receiving the vaccine will be from the Island Park, Long Beach, Oceanside and Rockville Centre school districts. Eligible teachers will be invited by the administration of their districts to schedule appointments.
