MONTGOMERY, AL — Although Gov. Kay Ivey's statewide face covering order will remain in place for another month, the governor announced Thursday several changes to the state's health order.
Ivey issued the following amendments to the state's Safer at Home Order Thursday:
Local school boards will be able to determine individually if students and teachers will be required to wear masks.
Patients and residents of hospitals and nursing homes will be allowed as many as two caregivers or visitors at a time. Federal restrictions regarding nursing homes will remain.
