A Yard Coordinator maintains the cleanliness of the rental yard and keeps the equipment organized, and does quality control. This position assists customers with equipment check-in, check-out and basic operation knowledge. Position Responsibilities: Oversees all activity in the yard area and ensures organization and order at all times Communicate with immediate manager and counter personnel on damages or missing parts upon return of equipment Check fuel levels and metered hours on equipment upon check in for billing purposes Stage and clean up equipment for delivery Ensures all equipment is properly tagged and has required key Operates all equipment safely Utilizes applicable PPE Other duties as assigned by management Essential Skills And Experience: Time management skills: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities Mechanically inclined a plus Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong team player with the ability to work independently as needed Commitment to company values Must be able to read, write and speak English Valid State issued driver's license Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent experience Organizational Relationships: A yard attendant will report directly to the General Manager and the Service Manager and will interact with Dispatch, Counter Personnel, Parts Personnel and Mechanics daily. Physical Demands: A Yard Attendant must be able to lift, push or pull a minimum of 75 lbs. and occasionally 100lbs. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularity required to stand, walk, use hands to feel or operate machinery, talk and hear. The employee is also frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl. Work Environment: A Yard Attendant spends 85% of their time outside and may be exposed to poor weather conditions including extreme heat and/or cold. This position often required the employee to lift heavy parts or tools, handle greasy or dirty parts, and stand or lie in awkward positions. A yard worker spends 15% of their time inside the service shop and warehouse.
